Flip It Golf ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Flip It Golf mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app.

1. Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address
• Username
• Display name
• Profile photo (optional)

Game data

When you use the app, we collect:

• Game scores and results
• Flip history (when flips were called and outcomes)
• Team membership and game participation
• Hole-by-hole results

Optional information

• Venmo or CashApp username (if you choose to add it for settle-up)
• Photos you upload for specific holes
• Course name (free text you enter)

Automatically collected

• Basic device information for crash reporting (via Apple's standard crash reporting)
• App usage data to improve performance

2. Information we do NOT collect

We do not collect:

• Precise GPS location (course name is free text only)
• Contact list or address book
• Health or fitness data
• Advertising identifiers (we have no ads)
• Payment or financial information (settle-up links go directly to Venmo/CashApp)

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the app
• Create and manage your account
• Enable gameplay with other users
• Sync your game data across devices
• Send important notifications about your games
• Improve app performance and fix bugs
• Respond to support requests

We do NOT:

• Sell your personal information
• Share your data with advertisers
• Use your data for marketing purposes
• Profile you for targeted advertising

4. Data storage and security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a trusted cloud infrastructure provider. We use:

• Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS)
• Secure authentication
• Row-level security for database access

Game photos are stored in secure cloud storage and are only accessible to participants in that game.

5. Data sharing

We share your information with:

Service providers

• Supabase (database, authentication, file storage)
• Apple (App Store, crash reporting)

These providers only access data necessary to provide their services and are bound by their own privacy policies.

Other players

• Your username, display name, and avatar are visible to other players in games you join
• Your game statistics are visible to your friends
• Photos you upload are visible to other participants in that game

We do NOT share your email address with other users.

6. Data retention

• We retain your account and game data as long as your account is active
• Game history is kept so you can view past games
• When you delete your account, all your data is permanently deleted

7. Account deletion

You can delete your account at any time from within the app:

Profile → Settings → Delete My Account

When you delete your account:

• Your profile is permanently removed
• Your game history is deleted
• Your photos are deleted
• Your team memberships are removed
• This action cannot be undone

8. Your rights

For all users:

• Access your data (visible in the app)
• Correct your information (edit your profile)
• Delete your account and data
• Export your game history (contact us)

For EU/UK users (GDPR):

• Right to access
• Right to rectification
• Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")
• Right to data portability
• Right to object to processing
• Right to withdraw consent

• Right to opt-out of sale (we don't sell data)

9. Children's privacy

Flip It Golf is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy in the app and updating the "Last updated" date.
